Captain Nautica Mini Boat Adventure Information:

How much does it cost?
A Captain Nautica Mini Boat excursion is $70 per person adults and children. Optional gratuity is always greatly appreciated as well.

Why Captain Nautica Mini Boats?
Our tour is the only snorkeling expedition on St. Thomas that lets you drive your own boat. Get behind the wheel of a custom 14 ft Avon inflatable and captain your own adventure. Our boats are powered by brand new Yamaha 40 horse HP 4-stroke helm controlled engines for reliability and speed. Our boats seat up to four passengers each so the whole family can ride together.

Are there any age or weight requirements?
The minimum age for our tour is 5 years old. Parents of young children should be aware that the ride may be exciting and bumpy depending upon the weather. There is a weight limit of 250 lbs. on the tour, due to the need to re-enter the boat using a small, vertical swim ladder. There is also a total weight limit of 600 lbs. total per boat.

How long does it take?
The tour is a half-day snorkeling excursion, which normally lasts about 2 ½ to 3 hours. Not to long and not to short. The perfect vacation excursion!! Departure times vary on a daily basis so please call our business office to verify.

What do we provide?
We will provide all of the snorkeling equipment including mask, snorkel, fins, and snorkel vest along with expert instruction from our knowledgeable staff. We also provide bottled water during the tour as well as rum punch upon return to the dock as well as dry storage for personal items on the boats.

What do the guest need to bring?
Bathing suit and towel are a must. If guests have their own snorkel gear, they may choose to bring that. If not, snorkel gear will be provided. Guests may wish to bring cameras to take pictures and money for optional gratuity for crew. Also, don’t forget to wear sunscreen.

Are there any special considerations?
Depending on the weather and wave height, the ride can be a little bit bumpy. If you are suffering from chronic back problems, or have had back or hip surgery recently, our tour might not be for you. It is also preferable if you are relatively comfortable in the water. While our minimum age is 5 years old, guests should be aware that only those of age 18 or older are permitted to actually operate the boats.

How many people per boat?
Our 14 ft. inflatables seat four passengers comfortably. Plenty of room for the whole family. There is, however, a combined weight limit of 600 lbs. per boat
